Lt. Gov Visits TMA

Tough crime fighter, and former teacher, Lt. Gov. Mary O Donohue visited Thurgood Marshall Academy.  The Lt. Gov's school tour carried her into the Time Warner Media Center at TMA through the up coming Peace 2000 Literacy Mural and surrounded by members of School District 5's military academy, brought in for the occasion.  

The Lt. Governor spoke with Student Council members and listen intently as students expressed views on the changes TMA has experienced since the arrival of the present Principal,  Dr. Sandye Poitier Johnson.

Later, during the unveiling ceremony for the Literacy 2000 Mural, the Governors office gave TMA an advance copy of a proclamation on education in New York.
